The Campbell's are a fourth generation winemaking family dedicated to continuing a tradition begun in 1870, of producing premium quality wines that reflect the distinctive characteristics ofthe Rutherglen region. Drawing on their intimate knowledge ofthe region the Campbells can ensure that they grow grapes ofthe highest quality. The result is traditional styles ofwines with finesse and a subtle use ofoak complementing the full fruit flavours.

Grape Variety: Rutherglen Topaque (Muscadelle)

Alcohol: 17%

Winemaking: Each vintage the tokay grapes are left on the vine to fully ripen until raisined and laden with natural sugar. The resulting wine is then blended with wines from previous vintages to produce a consistant house style. This wine contains portions from a number of vintages over several years.

Tasting Notes

Deep, brilliant old gold

Bouquet: Toffee, honey and cold tea characters combine to produce the unique character of Rutherglen Tokay.

Palate: Toffee and tea leaf characters predominate on the front of the mouth with a cleansing hint of spirit and old oak on the finish.

Service: A heavenly match with rich steamed puddings, caramel desserts, chocolates or as an after dinner drink with coffee.

Cellaring: Blended for optimum flavour and balance prior to bottling, this wine will not improve with further cellaring and should ideally be consumed soon after opening.
