Tasting Notes

Winemaker's Comments
Apart from working with more growers, and learning how their vines behave, we have changed our approach very little over several seasons. For that reason we have again produced a deliciously fresh and distinctive, bone-‐dry rosé.

Acid (g/L)

Sugar (g/L)

The nose is typically powerful, with hints of musk, red apples, watermelon and raspberry.

All of these characters flow through onto the palate, which is crisp, even and refreshing, with our signature ripple of tannin from judicious skin contact prior to pressing. Fine, dry, fragrant, and beautifully varietal.

Vintage Notes
Thanks to an even but generally above-‐average temperature summer. It was the earliest on record. If not for some serious (and seriously welcome!) rain just before vintage, it might also have been one of the driest. We picked on the 12th, 16th and 17th of February, probably the best part of a month before we might have expected to, a decade ago. Climate change? Perhaps. A change that we need to adapt to, but which is much less a threat due to the fact that our home is the fresh and cool Adelaide Hills? Definitely.
