Single vineyard (Kersbrook) in the northern and warmest part of the Adelaide Hills resulting in rich, dense tannins, soft acid, ripe savory red berry fruits.

Handpicked, crushed without rollers to keep berries intact. Cold soaked for 5 days, then fermented. Left on skins to soften the tannins for 3 months. Matured in older French oak to add character.

Aroma: Distinctive fragrance - Old fashioned red roses, lavender, deep cherry. Palate: Earthy, complex big red with dark fruit (plum, black cherry) ripe, abundant tannin (due to its very thick skin, great for the antioxidant lovers!)

Serving: Decant for 2 hours prior to drinking to unleash the fruit and chill slightly to soften the tannins.

The wine is powerful and will age incredibly well. Over time, it will evolve, the tannins will soften, and the primary fruit will develop and become even more savory.
