Wine and Winery Information

Azahara Sparkling Moscato NV

Grape Varieties: Muscat Gordo Blanco

Region: The fruit for this sparkling Moscato was harvested from our vineyards which rest alongside lovely orange orchards at Deakin Estate, North West Victoria.

Vinification: The Azahara Sparkling Moscato is made from Muscat Gordo Blanco grapes and was fermented with an aromatic yeast to accentuate the fruit character. The slow, cool fermentation was arrested early, ensuring the alcohol content remained at a low level. The bubbles soon after followed and enhance the delightful and refreshingly sweet palate.

Winemaker’s Comments: Phil Spillman

Colour: Pale lime-yellow.

Nose: Lifted floral and musk aromas with hints of apple and mint.

Palate: Light-bodied and sweet with fresh, zingy acidity and highlights of green apple and florals. Light in alcohol with a refreshing finish and a fine mousse.

Cellaring Potential: For consumption as soon as you like, why wait. Serve chilled.

Ideal ways to enjoy Azahar: All lovely occasions require lovely bubbles… anywhere, anytime. This sparkling will be great as an aperitif and perfectly suited to a ladies’ day out. Try it with your favourite dessert too - say a fresh fruit platter, or for something a little more extravagant, Pavlova roll filled with lemon curd and blueberries. Yum.
