Canaletto Prosecco Brut DOC

The Canaletto wines are authentic regional wines produced by the Gruppo La-Vis across Italy. This Prosecco is made from selected vineyards in the Valdobbiadene close to the hilltop town of Conegliano, in the Veneto. The vines are trained guyot and sylvoz, and the average density is 3500 to 4000 vines per hectare. Modern winemaking of this classic Italian aperitivo, results in a vibrant and crisp Prosecco, true to the variety.

Variety: Prosecco (Glera) 100%

Alcohol: 11%

Method: The first fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures, where selected yeasts have been added. The charmat method is used for the secondary fermentation, and the low pressure tanks lead to the production of a lively and persistent mousse.

Colour: Pale straw yellow with greenish hues, and a persistent mousse.

Bouquet: Fruity, with a rich scent of green apples and citrus in particular lemon and grapefruit, over quite pronounced floral aromas of wisteria and acacia blossom.

Palate: The palate follows through with the same fragrant floral and fruity notes. It is crisp with some good weight on the mid-palate and a refreshingly dry, sapid finish.

Service: Serve well chilled around 8-10C. The perfect aperitivo, enjoy a glass of Canaletto Prosecco Brut on its own or with a range of classic antipasto dishes including Italian style cured meats, spider crab crostini, warmed olives and pepperone frittatta!
